GeoTapp was not invented by investors or analysts. It was born from the real frustration of someone who works every day amid deadlines, job sites and demanding clients.
It was 2024. Michele Angelo Petraroli, our founder, was working as an employee and had an apparently trivial but incredibly costly problem: proving his own work.
At the end of the month, the hour counts never added up. Jobs done on the run between clients were forgotten. Paper got lost, WhatsApp messages got buried. It was a silent drain of time and money.
He looked for a solution. He found only complex, expensive software full of useless charts and lacking substance. Software built by people who had never clocked in or issued an invoice in an emergency from a van.
So Michele decided to build the tool he wished he'd had himself: simple, mobile, with verifiable proof. Not for investors, for companies like his.
Oh, and it's spelled GeoTapp, with two P's. If you spot one with a single P out there, that's not us, though no hard feelings.

Michele Angelo Petraroli is the founder and CEO of GeoTapp, an Italian SaaS company building field workforce management software for European SMEs. Coming from an operational background where he saw firsthand how cleaning crews, installers and security teams lose money to missing proofs of work, he founded GeoTapp in 2024 to solve it at the source. Today GeoTapp helps European SMEs with GDPR-compliant GPS tracking, photographic evidence and digital signatures that make every field job verifiable.
