No, they're indicative: a reasonable starting point. For accounting documents we use the law of the country you choose; for the rest the principle is to keep data for the minimum needed. Always check your specific situation.
Does my data stay private?
Yes. The table is generated entirely in your browser: no company name, no logo is sent to a server.
Why is keeping less better?
The longer you keep data, the bigger the risk in a breach and the harder it is to justify the need. Deleting on expiry is part of compliance, not an optional extra.
